Michael Stephen Swasko Sr., 76, of Clarendon Hills, IL passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Michael passed away into God’s graces after a 3-year battle with Alzheimer’s, being cared for at home by his wife, Kate, and daughters, Dana and Holly.

Michael was a loving husband, father of four, brother, and friend to all. He was also a beloved educator and co-worker to so many. Michael began his career as a teacher, working for ten years at Edison Elementary School in Elmhurst, IL, followed by a successful 43-year career in sales at Saporito Finishing in Cicero, IL. He retired in 2019. Michael was a kindhearted soul; he was hardworking, generous, rich in wisdom, and courageous in the face of his diagnosis. His final years were abundantly filled with all that he loved — music, good food, the comfort of his home, and the love of his family. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.
