Having many encounters losing siblings, parents and even my beloved dog, I extend heartfelt empathy for your loss. I once compared my grief of losing a loved one to someone trying to understand. I said, ‘It is like having a horrible injury at first - the pain is unbearable.  Over time you heal but the scar remains. ‘

Time will help in the healing of your heart. Share the loving stories and fond memories and know it will help heal the pain. The scar you carry is a reminder to do so and reflects the depth of your unconditional love. 

I loved Mike so much and think about him frequently, just last week was laughing about his old ringtone being "it puts the lotion in the basket." We would always yell at him to change the ringtone but he would just laugh his deep and big Mike laugh every time it bugged it us.

Mike was a comedic genius who made us all who hated the bit begin loving it and quoting it ourselves.

Love you and miss you greatly! You were always the funniest person in the room!
