Michael's obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable man, husband, father, grandfather, mentor, athlete, and friend, Michael Moultak.
Michael’s rich life was marked by his passionate, charismatic personality, a deep love of nature, and an unwavering devotion to and love for his family.
A true storyteller, Michael had a legendary ability to captivate a room with his unmistakable Brooklyn accent, quick wit, and contagious laughter. His talent for crafting a great story about moments both big and small was a testament to how much he noticed and cherished all the details that make life meaningful and miraculous.
Spiritually, few things moved Michael more than nature. His admiration of and reverence for the natural world - and doing his part to protect it - was a guiding force throughout his life. He was happiest when biking, skiing, swimming, golfing, and hiking with his family and friends.
When not outdoors or with his family, Michael built an impressive and successful career in data center technology sales in Silicon Valley. He was known for his humor, intelligence, and exceptional ability to connect with others. These attributes made him a natural leader, visionary, and inspiring career mentor to many.
Giving heartfelt, wise, and often spot-on advice was one of the best ways Michael showed his love. Through his insatiable curiosity, sharp mind, and lifelong pursuit of knowledge he inspired others to live richer, more engaged lives.
Above all else, family was the core of Michael’s being. His love for his wife, Simone, three children, Brennan, Danielle and Marissa, and grandson, Kieran, was boundless. Michael’s joy for life was infectious. He made so many moments for his family memorable, magical, extraordinary. His children were given an immeasurable gift of a lifetime - a father who was always present, hugged them often, loved them unconditionally, and was their number one fan.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held on March 3rd at 1pm at Silverado Resort in Napa.
