Background
To honor Michael’s life and his deep love for the environment, please consider making your home as energy-efficient as possible by installing solar panels and/or a heat pump, making your next vehicle electric, and always voting in favor of climate action.
In retirement, Michael invested many hours and spent years retrofitting the Moultak household and lifestyle to be as carbon-neutral as possible. His knowledge of the subject and passion (& of course his seasoned sales skills) have inspired family, friends, and strangers alike to reexamine their relationship with the planet, understand the impact and difference their individual choices can make, and take action.
The Moultak family would be very touched to know of any actions, big or small, that you make in Micheal's honor in favor of the planet. Please don't hesitate to share those stories in the years to come.

Michael loved all types of trees but the California redwood for him was magical. "It just gives me a FEELING" he'd often say as he'd pat their trunks and look up in awe.
Among many hobbies and skills, Michael loved cultivating and maintaining the beautiful gardens of the two Moultak homes, the first of which was in American Canyon, CA (1989-2010) and the second in Napa, CA (2010-present). He spent countless hours gardening and savoring moments, both private and shared with our family, in these little slices of nature he curated with Simone. His favorite, most prized elements of both properties were the two redwood trees he planted and nurtured over the years.
It would bring him so much joy to know that, in his memory, we helped these beautiful giants continue to thrive. Contribute to Save the Redwoods League
