My nephew's obituary. There is a memorial planned for near future. To add to this, Michael was the grandson of the late Samuel & Betty Jarrell. Michael was a 1990 Scott High School Graduate. While in high school, he was with the Danville VFD. Michael was so full of adventures. He joined the army in 91 & after basic, he was with the Air Assault team & eventually Airborne. He was a medic. I saw that his daughter stated he was proud to be a part of the elite Forward Surgical Team. I have so many memories that it is hard to share everything. Michael was extremely close to his cousin Stacy Davis Branham while they were growing up. They were like twins. He was tortured by his Uncle Ajax (8yrs his elder), & he then passed the torture on to his brother, Joseph, & of course Joe passed it on to his little brother, Jason. These are just a few of the memories. There are so many times we all laughed til we cried at some of the things Michael managed to get himself into. He definitely was a thrill seeker. Just last year he came to WV for Gauley white water season. He, his brother, Jason, his cousin Thomas Berkley & wife Mandy Berkley, their children Carter & Cailey Berkley, & a friend, took on the Gauley. Mike, Jason, Thomas, Mandy & maybe the friend all got thrown from the raft. I believe Mike was one of the last to surface. They thought that was the day Michael would leave this earth, but God had other plans for him. I am rambling, so I will end on that note, for now. I hope any one that has some fond memories to share with his family, they will do so. I think they will appreciate it.💔RIP Michael. There will always be a empty space in my heart that you left.
