at the tiki bar: Kate, Shannon & Mike. About 3 life times ago. — with Kate Chadd, Shannon Sieber and mike grishaver

I am so shocked and sad. Mike was my manager at Weedmaps, and he was also a friend. "Mike G" (as we called him internally) was always willing to lend a listening ear, offer words of wisdom, and of course, inject his goofy sense of humor into our conversations - typically with his dog, Tuck, in his lap. He helped me through some very difficult times in my personal life. I'll never forget the empathy he showed me, while balancing his role as my manager.

I'll miss you, Mike.

I'm so sorry and shocked. Mike was such a real dude. I ran into him by chance when he was pitching Thingfo, then joined as an advisor and stayed in touch over the years, always enjoying our conversations about business and life. His talent, passion, drive were admirable and impressive and I was so honored to attend the wedding to Kate. Rest in peace, Mike.
My condolences to you and your family.  I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  Mike was such a great guy.  We worked together at Yahoo and I fondly remember his great sense of humor and positivity.  Rest in peace.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Mike's family. I met Mike back when I was at Yahoo almost 20 years ago. He was so passionate about his teams and helping them innovate and deliver great stuff. We'd have a lot of conversations on how to make and do things better back then, and it continued off and on over the years. The last time I remember chatting with him back during the pandemic days, this time on Zoom, figuring out ways to move things ahead in the unusual circumstances of the lockdown. Rest in peace, Mike.
Every interaction I had with Mike was surrounded by a smile, a touch of joy, a witty comment about life , politics, or people. Mike and I met at Cal , both KA’s, but also enjoyed a bond that we were both Oregonians , attracted to Berkeley for similar reasons, Mike probably more equipped than I.  I always loved his company, and was thrilled when he showed up when I didn’t expect it, and respected with enormity his place in tech. I shall cherish the times we had including shuttling him to Eugene on my way to Portland from Berkeley. Rest easy Grissy. Thought I’d see you at the next Cal game,  I’ll miss all your insights and perspectives on the world.
I worked with Mike at ADAM back in 1999 - dotcom days. It was a fun time in San Francisco and he was a great colleague. One of the funniest people to be around, smart, and he had a good heart. May his memory be a blessing.

It was with great shock and sadness that I learned of Mike’s passing.

Mike and I first crossed paths at Yahoo!, where we worked together with Fern and Sarah R. Our professional journeys intertwined once again when we all worked in Los Angeles for Ashton Kutcher at Katalyst. Mike’s energy, passion, and smarts were unmatched. Both at Linkedin and Katalyst, he was referred to as Dr Mike. Since we were in tech, I thought it was folklore about him being a Dr, but he actually was.

I later had the privilege of reconnecting with Mike at LinkedIn. The overlap in our careers always felt like more than just coincidence—whenever I had something cool that I was building, he was one of the first people I would share with. I respected his feedback.

Mike was, simply put, the best. His presence, both professionally and personally, left a lasting impact on us all.

May he rest in peace.

I met Mike at Yahoo during the web 2.0 days and we enjoyed bouncing ideas off of each other as we optimistically tried to improve the everything with "social." His smile and positive attitude was infectious and made the world a better place.

I met Mike during the tech boom of 2009 era and was so happy that I got to spend some time with him during his life. He was so smart and it was great to share this moment in history with him. You’ll always be remembered!

"Good Sir" was how I always started my greetings with Mike. He always had a way to bring a smile to someone's face no matter the kind of day you were having. Mike took a chance and hired me to help him introduce the world of UGC to Yahoo (long live PHUGC!). I am forever grateful to him for taking a chance on me and helping find my home in product. Mike had a generous and witty spirit.

My deepest condolences to Kate and the family. Kate, when you entered into Mike's life I could tell that he had a joy about him that was not there before. I happened to be at Cal today and passed by where you both exchanged vows and lifted a prayer for you and the family. May you find comfort and peace and may Mike's zest for purpose be something we each carry forward for him. You will be missed Mike!

I still remember the first time I met Mike and Kate at the house in Portola Valley. It was a beautiful day and the brunch was AMAZING! Most of my memories of Mike are of all of us laughing together. There was a dinner in the Mission where I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. When I got home, I had to lay down. He is loved and remembered for great joy, creativity, and intelligence.

Love and condolences to Kate and the family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. Mike was our innovative, brilliant and charming product manager at Yahoo. His presence will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to Kate and his family in this very difficult time.
I loved working with Mike at LinkedIn. He was a wonderful person and a good friend. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace Mike.
I was so very sad when I learned of Mike's passing.  I will miss Mike's wit, brilliance and charm; he left this world too soon.  May Mike's soul soar in Heaven as his mind soared on Planet Earth.

I only knew Mike from various interactions at Yahoo! over the years, and unfortunately our paths had not crossed much since Yahoo!, but every touchpoint I had with him was memorable and always accompanied by his great smile. His spark and energy was infectious and I am deeply sorry to hear this news. My most sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.
In all his academic and professional achievements, Mike always presented himself as a down-to-earth individual. He was a human first and then a musician, an innovator,  sports and nature enthusiast. From my brief time getting to know him, he demonstrated a sincere reflection of humility. A value so many of us strive to achieve as our life's purpose. I am sad to hear you are gone, Mike. My condolences to Kate and the Grishaver Family.
