Michael could put a smile on anyone's face. His charisma was unmatched. He was actually one of the first friends I ever had growing up. He was someone that didn't seem to go a day without smiling even on his worst of days. I remember when we were still in elementary and Junior High, we would sit on the curb after "ballin" hard and just talk about our feelings, which isn't something younger kids our age did. Throughout our Jr. High and High School years we had grown apart, but were never strangers to one another. Once he began his barber shop in the Katy area, there was no one else I would rather go to. Every appointment I made was in excitement to see the type of deep conversation we would have. That 1-2 hours I would get with him every other week was something I always looked forward to. He was always willing to genuinely listen to what you were saying, never afraid to share his opinions, and he was always wanting the best for those around him. I had an appointment the day he passed. I missed that appointment. Now I miss him.
