Dr. Michael Oyewunmi Akintunde, a beloved figure in Morton Grove, IL, transitioned on Palm Sunday, March 24th, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on December 26, 1944, in Oyo State, Nigeria, Dr. Akintunde leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and love.

He was a devoted husband to Joy Oluwatomi Akintunde for 53 years and a loving father to his three children, Olusola, Mobolaji, and Ololade Mitchell (née Akintunde). Dr. Akintunde adored his grandchildren, …
