Sincere condolences to the Weir family on the passing of Pastor Weir. God cradles you in His arms as we look forward to the great resurrection soon to come. Let us keep ready.

He will be greatly missed by the Retiree group for his intellectual acumen as well as his musical abilities and jovial disposition.

My sincere condolences to the Weir family during this time of deep loss. Pastor Weir holds a special place in my childhood memories ... I will never forget the days he patiently tried to teach me how to swim. His warmth, his humor, and his steady presence left a lasting impression on me.

Mercedes, my dear childhood friend, I’m thinking of you with love and praying for your strength and peace. Your father was a wonderful man, and I’m grateful to have known him.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

May this promise bring comfort in the days ahead.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Lorraine Davidson 🙏🏽❤️

As a teenager, I was the lone SDA in my family.  I still recall the Sabbath morning I stood waiting for an infrequent taxi to travel the long miles to church.  A shiny Volvo pulled up and a very polished gentleman said good morning.  He noted that he had seen my bible and hymnal and offered me a ride to church.  Those were safer days. The conversation was pleasant and engaging and when I asked his name, he said he was just a servant of God. When we got to church and he was introduced was when I knew that this was the storied Pastor Weir! Humble, deep intellectual, decent human being,  man of God! See you in the morning Pastor!
My heart remains heavy knowing that my dear friend and brother has gone to sleep. He was surely a man of God. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Pastor Weir. I will see you in the morning🙏🙏💐
On behalf of the Davids, & King families,  we extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the Weir extended family. Fond short memories of taking music lessons from Ms Beatrice on Sunday mornings, and upon arriving, Milton would say," You come, you come", and I'd say, " yes Milton, and he showing me  the Piano, and a talking with my book in hand, lol".  Pastor Weir was a quiet giant in his own right,  as he lead out in Ministry over the years. Remembered him in EJC, and WIU. That great getting up morning is not a far off, and as  we remember these words, Jeremiah 29:11, that God assures us, we have a Hope, and the  gift of eternal life. Prayers!

Pastor M.E. Weir was an intellectual icon. He will be greatly missed but his liftedness will live on in the lives of his students and the congregation and Pastors that he impacted.  RIP, M.E until that  Great-Getting-Up-Morning.

May God grant  Sis Beatrice,  Mercedes,  Marilyn,  Merchelle ; his surviving siblings: Garnet Weir and Lois Miller His Comfort and Peace at this time of bereavement and loss.

Quiet, thoughtful, deliberate, unrushed, intelligent, mind always operating outside the box. These are some of the words that come to mind as I think about this spiritual giant. The church has lost a Christian role model. Sleep on son of God the morning soon will break !
Pastor Weir was a stalwart, and a gentleman. He had an intimate relationship with God and His Word. He was a scholar. He inspired me to read my Bible through in three months. I was always motivated, and stimulated by his deep intellectual sermons. He is one of my favourite Pastors. May God comfort the hearts of his family, and friends, in anticipation of the Resurrection.🙏🏽
Condolences to the family for their loss and will be praying for each one!!!⁶

My sincere condolences to the Weir family. A faithful man has gone to his rest. From all  that we have seen and know Pastor Weir was a man of quiet dignity, humility, sterling character and integrity who served God and His people well.

May all our hopes in Jesus be consumated when we reunite in the first resurrection.

As a child growing up in EJC the name
M E Weir was a very familiar one. By way of him being introduced, I learnt about an unfamiliar, interesting (to my mind) place called Bois Content. Later, through the world of literature and an eventual single visit, the place name became more etched in my mind. As a teenager, Pastor Weir's didactic preaching tone didn't capture my listening style but his gentle nature made me think highly of the man. However, as a young adult I came to appreciate the depth of wisdom and the nuggets of pearls he shared and whereas there were friends who did not like his preaching style nor could understand how I did it, I would sit, listen and gather indepth insight as he expounded the word. His skill of using deep and well developed analytical concepts captured my thoughts. My earliest exposure to philosophy as a related "god centred" ideology came from listening to one of pastor's sermons. It brought clarity about the philosophical perspectives and in later years have influenced how I direct young people to navigate their understanding and appreciation of the theories. Thereafter, I had no problem following his thoughts and learning as he preached.
I was blessed to have had an opportunity to visit pastor in retirement. He was the same gentle soul whose kind nature warmed my heart.
The man of God sleeps. Until then. We await "some golden morning. "
Condolence to the extended Weir family
Pastor M. E. Weir was a collogue and a friend for of mine for many years. When he was the President of the East Jamaica Conference of SDA I was the treasurer of the Union.  When he became secretary of the union I was still the treasurer. We spent a lot of time on committee meetings. We spent a lot of time travelling together. Pastor Weir was a deep and profound thinker. His wife Beatrice is a past student of mine.   He will be sorely missed.

The Stewart's family of the Regent St SDA church extends sincere condolences to the family of the late pastor  M  E Weir.

May God grant you coping skills through this difficult period in life.

Pastor M.E. Weir was truly a man of God. He was an exceptional leader in the SDA Church. He was a deep thinker, a profound preacher,  with little noise, but he got the undivided attention from his listeners. He was a lover of everyone.  I was blessed to be employed as a pastor in his regime, when he served as President  in the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. My first assignment was to work with him as an intern pastor in a crusade in Guava Gap. He was the evangelist. One hundred new members joined the newly formed church in Guava Gap. I will surely miss this great leader and man of God.

Marilyn, my  friend you and your family are in my thoughts. Blessings and strength to you, your dear mom, sisters and extended family.

Mr. President, we will see you in the 'Golden Morning '

Much love ❤️

Linton G. Williams.

I remember Pastor Weir as a humble and faithful servant of God, dedicated to the church and passionate about mentoring young pastors. I feel privileged to have been one of his students. May his legacy live on, and I offer my deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.
My condolences to you Marilyn and family.  I remember your dad when you posted his picture.  He lived, and you will see him again when Jesus comes.❤️
