My sincere condolences to the Weir family during this time of deep loss. Pastor Weir holds a special place in my childhood memories ... I will never forget the days he patiently tried to teach me how to swim. His warmth, his humor, and his steady presence left a lasting impression on me.
Mercedes, my dear childhood friend, I’m thinking of you with love and praying for your strength and peace. Your father was a wonderful man, and I’m grateful to have known him.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
May this promise bring comfort in the days ahead.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Lorraine Davidson 🙏🏽❤️

As a teenager, I was the lone SDA in my family. I still recall the Sabbath morning I stood waiting for an infrequent taxi to travel the long miles to church. A shiny Volvo pulled up and a very polished gentleman said good morning. He noted that he had seen my bible and hymnal and offered me a ride to church. Those were safer days. The conversation was pleasant and engaging and when I asked his name, he said he was just a servant of God. When we got to church and he was introduced was when I knew that this was the storied Pastor Weir! Humble, deep intellectual, decent human being, man of God! See you in the morning Pastor!

On behalf of the Davids, & King families, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the Weir extended family. Fond short memories of taking music lessons from Ms Beatrice on Sunday mornings, and upon arriving, Milton would say," You come, you come", and I'd say, " yes Milton, and he showing me the Piano, and a talking with my book in hand, lol". Pastor Weir was a quiet giant in his own right, as he lead out in Ministry over the years. Remembered him in EJC, and WIU. That great getting up morning is not a far off, and as we remember these words, Jeremiah 29:11, that God assures us, we have a Hope, and the gift of eternal life. Prayers!

Pastor Weir was a stalwart, and a gentleman. He had an intimate relationship with God and His Word. He was a scholar. He inspired me to read my Bible through in three months. I was always motivated, and stimulated by his deep intellectual sermons. He is one of my favourite Pastors. May God comfort the hearts of his family, and friends, in anticipation of the Resurrection.🙏🏽

Pastor M. E. Weir was a collogue and a friend for of mine for many years. When he was the President of the East Jamaica Conference of SDA I was the treasurer of the Union. When he became secretary of the union I was still the treasurer. We spent a lot of time on committee meetings. We spent a lot of time travelling together. Pastor Weir was a deep and profound thinker. His wife Beatrice is a past student of mine. He will be sorely missed.

Pastor M.E. Weir was truly a man of God. He was an exceptional leader in the SDA Church. He was a deep thinker, a profound preacher, with little noise, but he got the undivided attention from his listeners. He was a lover of everyone. I was blessed to be employed as a pastor in his regime, when he served as President in the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. My first assignment was to work with him as an intern pastor in a crusade in Guava Gap. He was the evangelist. One hundred new members joined the newly formed church in Guava Gap. I will surely miss this great leader and man of God.
Marilyn, my friend you and your family are in my thoughts. Blessings and strength to you, your dear mom, sisters and extended family.
Mr. President, we will see you in the 'Golden Morning '
Much love ❤️
Linton G. Williams.
