Melvin Cooper Obituary
Melvin "Mel" Ray Cooper, age 72, of Daniels, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his home.
He was born July 27, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised with a passion for music. He was born a son of Jessie Krumholz. Melvin married the love of his life, Jeana Cooper, and spent many wonderful years together before her passing.
Mel spent his life dedicated to God, family, and music. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, would agree his level of faith was unparalleled to others. He touched many people's lives throughout his life. Mel was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent many hours outside enjoying nature.
He was a faithful member of the Glade Community Church. Mel served as the bass player for the Praise and Worship band. He greatly enjoyed his time serving the Lord through his music.
Mel was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (Jared) Murtha; brother, Randy (Shelli) Mullins; and grand-daughters, Riley and Cora.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held on January 11, 2025 at the Melton Mortuary Chapel from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm and open to all. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Troy Rackliffe officiating.
