Andrew:Although I did not know your mother just knowing you and how you conduct and present yourself she did an amazing job raising you and your siblings to become the man you are today.    Thinking of you and your family in these times of hardship.

Ron and I are so very saddened by the sudden, unexpected death of our dear friend, Melinda Day.  We have shared spiritual, fun, sad, teaching, eating, and many other experiences.  Our common love of the young women of Orange Second Ward (Santiago Creek Ward) and the youth of the Orange California Stake through our youth group activities and our teaching early morning seminary kids was a great shared joy!  We have followed their lives through the years, and we are so proud of their achievements and their "grown-up lives!"  Mel was so creative in preparing lessons, and I learned so much from her.  She was always eager to serve in any way that she could, whether she catered a wedding luncheon, or she just kidnapped me for a day of shopping, she always seemed to know my needs. 

 Even though we have moved away from Orange, I will always love you, Melinda, and will miss hearing from you.  I am so sad that your children and grandchildren will miss your very presence in their lives.  But we know you are not far away, and your spirit will always be with us all.  I love you, Mel.      Lorraine Bitter
