It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melanie "Nicki" Danks, who left us on March 30, 2023. Born on April 9, 1979, in Norfolk, VA, She was known by many as Melanie but she preferred to be called Nicki. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met through her loving, caring, kind, and strong-willed personality.

Throughout her life, Nicki pursued her passion for art, painting, and jewelry making as hobbies. Those who knew Nicki were always inspired by her dedication to her creative pursuits.

She is survived by her spouse, Edward Danks; her children, Ava Danks, Wade Meares, and Taylor Danks; her siblings, Medea Ransom, Kari Woodworth, Christopher Blythe, and Jennifer Nye. Melanie's love, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life for Nicki will be held on April 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Fayetteville Community Church. We invite all who loved Nicki to join us in celebrating her life and cherishing the memories we shared together.
