It is with my deepest condolences to my niece Randi and her family at the passing of her King my nephew Maurice. I love y'all. My God give y'all all the strength and comfort that is needed. Let's go over TT Dot's something I loved to hear him say. Maurice you will be forever missed. I LOVE YOU, RANDI

Dear Miranda & Family.

Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences for your husband, father, grandfather, and my cousin, Maurice. I'll always hold dear the gracious and wonderful time you and Maurice showed me and my ex-husband (Christopher J. Thompson, 1955-2017) in 1995 when we in South Carolina. Maurice even arranged for us to stay on the Base! That was so cool. We had a great time.

If my memory serves me correctly, you and Maurice came to see us in 1997 or 1998 and we had a really nice time then as well.

I haven't seen or talked to Maurice in several years, but I know he visited Detroit quite regularly. I'm saddened I didn't take the opportunity to see him in the last few years.

Sincerely,

Carolyn White

I have so many emotions right now. I remember so many of the lessons that were taught and so many of the basketball games played together. Definitely top 5 funniest people I’ve ever known. Pop’s was stern with his lessons/lectures but was everything a man was suppose to be when it came to handling business. That’s what I respected about him the most. The love he showed me everytime we seen each other was like no other. He will be truly missed. If you are looking down on us, just know we love you and we won’t let you down in no way. You was such a father figure to me and our memories will live on forever .

Wassup unc  ! It’s the good  Sagittarius Co Bean  . You were one of a kind & definitely the lit uncle anyone would be blessed to have . Idk what’s the funniest moment we had together, fighting between thanksgiving of 2013 when kye was first born and you almost burned the house down trying  to fry a turkey 🤣🤣🤣,  the time you were “lost” leaving my house but I found you right down the street or the time I rode with you to  get the kids  beef jerky & chips and I walked out the store without paying for a charger 🤣🤣🤣 you said I couldn’t go back to the store with you anymore  .I’m laughing as I write this because you kept looking out the rear view mirror thinking the police was coming 🤣🤣🤣🤣… you know we are who dat nation but we were cheering your cowgirls … I mean cowboys on their first game . Bam said they  had an angel (YOU) in the outfield that day  ..Cleveland couldn’t mess with yall 33-17 go head get your 2 step on !! Gone but Never will be forgotten ❤️🤞🏽🫶🏽in your words  #SAGGLIFE

Every moment I was around I loved every single second. Pops has a lot of knowledge, and he puts that knowledge on ppl he cares about to me, it’s just a matter of hearing the message. I love you pops and the whole entire family ❤️

My father was one of a kind. The car rides. The store trips. The lectures. The basketball games. No one like him. What he instilled in me will be forever held high. Popz always told me to “ Take care of your business” and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. The small intricate talks we always had with each other about LIFE added up to the man I am today. You and momma have raised an exact COPY of your mannerism and all.

Popz I want you to know and that I love you forever, I know you flying high and at peace, which also brings me peace. I will forever hold your name in the highest regards possible , I’m yelling POPZ when we see each other again!!

Until that day. Your youngest son.

Dear Love of My Life

We met 34 years ago, and that had to be designed by God. You are from Michigan and I am from a small town in Lousiana. It had to be Devine intervention that we met. It was God who blessed you with a roommate that just so happened to be from my little ole city. The first night we saw each other on Juneteenth, you kept trying to get me to stop and talk to you, and although my heart skipped a beat when I first saw this fine man trying to grab my attention, I had to play it cool, acting as if I was not interested, but you were not having it. When I finally stopped to talk to you, you put your arms around me, and wouldn't let go, and we have been together from that night until God called you home.

We were blessed with 3 children and 8 grandchildren, and although our marriage was not perfect, I always knew that you loved your family.

You were a provider, a husband, a devoted father, and grandfather, who loved so intently that even you couldn't contain it, and that sometimes led to misunderstandings, because you wanted and expected the best from all that were blessed to be in your presence.

Although, you could work my nerves like no other, you were my soul mate. I know God designed you just for me, and me just for you. There is no way anyone else could put up with either one of us.

I know our time on this earthly plain has ended, however, our love never will. It is eternal. I will miss you infinitely, but I will always carry you in my heart.

Rest In Paradise My King. Until we meet again.

 Your loving wife,

 Randi
