Matthew's obituary
A brilliant bolt of lightning struck on the day that Matthew was born, and he spent much of his life ridin' the storm out. Our hearts broke when we lost Matthew Tracy. A once beautiful, funny, smart, shining, tender little boy that became a man who loved deeply, and with his whole heart. A poet, songwriter, singer, actor, guitarist, and pianist, he had the uncanny ability to tell a story with a full range of emotions that left every listener spellbound. Matthew's energy was unmatched. His shy smile and beautiful eyes made it impossible to not stare at him. Matt spent many years traveling the US, busking, playing in bands, recording, acting, sharing his wonderful creative gifts with the world. Most recently landing in Memphis TN, where he died. Like so many of the most brilliant, creative minds on this planet, Matt spent much of his life dealing with mental illness and fighting his own demons. The world has truly lost one of its most beautiful, kind, loving, creative, bright souls. You will forever be missed Matty. Sing on with the angels now! Until we meet again my sweet beloved...
Matthew leaves his siblings, Renee Tracy and Eric Pierce, his nephews Rylan and Maddox, his daughter Demitri and his grandson, Maxwell, his Uncle Blaine and Uncle Thomas, his Aunt Celeste, as well as many friends and fellow musicians, such as Barb Retzlaff. He is predeceased by his mother Belinda Tracy, his stepdad Bill Hein, his sister Wendi and his daughter Geneeva.
