Matt was such a kind, sweet man, and a talented musician, lyricist & poet. Many times when he had written a new song he’d come over and tell me he had something he wanted to play for me. It usually took him a bit to get started because he was shy and lacked self-confidence…at least that’s the way it seemed as I remember…it took him a bit to get started, but once he started playing and singing it was awesome, in the truest sense of the word, he inspired awe. I admired his talent, creativity, and his skills as a guitarist and songwriter.
