Matthew's obituary

It is with deepest sorrow, we announce that Matthew Saunders, our most beloved husband, father, son, brother, family member and friend tragically passed away on Tuesday, April 5th in Pretoria, South Africa.

Although only 32 at the time of his passing, Matthew had a profound effect on all those around him during his short time on this earth.

Even though he faced enormous personal challenges throughout his lifetime, Matthew was always a well-mannered and pleasant young man, with a penchant for quick humor, which put a smile on many a face.

In the workplace, he was a constant source of inspiration to his peers, often leading by example, with no job or task beneath him.

Sadly, he was taken long before he realized his dreams and full potential.

With a sunny disposition and gentle soul, Matthew was and wonderful and devout father who absolutely idolized his daughter Skyla. He always had a smile on his face and did his level best, no matter what the situation or challenge.

Matthew will be missed everyday by his wife Charise; daughter Skyla; parents, Allan and Daphne; his brother, Clayton; grandparents David and Margret Saunders, Joyce Jeffrey, Co and Chris Aspeling, and also by many other loving family members and friends.

He was one of Earth’s shining lights, who will forever leave a huge hole in many of our hearts.

He is on God’s hands now, and we know Matthew is now with his brother Daniel, where he will be loved in heaven, as he is here on earth.

We LOVE and MISS you so much, Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandchild and Very Dear Friend. May you rest in peace. XOXO
