Matt enjoying time with Grand…
2024, North Richland Hills, TX, USA
Matt enjoying time with Grandma and generation now! Family was everything to Matt!
I coached Lock throughout his time at Colorado. Two things were always true, 1) He always supported his friends and teammates and 2) He was always passionate. I have some amazing memories of him growing over the years. After he was done playing he came back to help the young guys get better in the 2021 club season with Lotus. He was a bit of a wild stallion as a freshman, but became a defensive stalwart and a leader once he learned to channel his energy. His motor was never ending. I have a lot of funny memories of him being late to warmups because he was still applying sunscreen. I might have lost my patience with him in those moments, but he had an ability to wear you down with that goofy smile. I'll miss that smile. My last memory of him was at a Summit home game just a couple weeks ago. He was shouting down at me from the stands after the game ended to say hi. Smiling, of course. He was so supportive. I'll miss him very much. Love you, Lock.

We are so sorry and deeply heartbroken by Matt’s passing. Matt was such an incredible friend to us and we last saw him at our wedding a couple weeks ago. It was the most special day having him there, and everyone from the wedding remembers his vibrant energy and unbelievable moves on the dance floor. He even initiated the biggest group hug after our last dance which made us and everyone feel so loved.
That was who he was. Someone who made everyone feel included and comfortable and wore his emotions on his sleeve. He was so fun, intelligent, funny and thoughtful. He was incredibly charismatic, and he did everything with great style. He would always show up to events in the best outfits and ready for great conversation.
A great friend to us both, and especially to Danny over the years whether in the dorms sleeping through their physics final together, playing ultimate, on ski trips, or later on at friendsgivings, birthday surprises, hangouts and weddings.
We loved Matt so much and are devastated. We are sending your family so much love and know how much of an incredible bond you all had. We feel so lucky to have known Matt and have such a strong support group with his friends here in Colorado. If there is anything you need please let us know.
Love, Danny Langevin and Noa Margalit (952-594-0482)
