I was browsing Facebook for the first time in quite a while and noticed Matt’s profile. Above his name was the word remembering, I couldn’t believe it. Matt was a friend of mine when I was in my late teens and early twenties. We had met working at Bonefish Grill in Stuart and bonded over the game of golf. Matt was a great golfer with an even better sense of humor. We played many rounds together around the Stuart and Port St Lucie area. He was always physically fit and inspired me to stay in the gym as well. I’m proud to have called him my friend, he will be missed.

Matt and I have been friends since grade school and we bonded over our mutual love for the Bengals. I hadn't seen him in many years but was lucky to be able to reconnect with him and watch a Bengals game when he came to visit me in St. Pete about 10 years ago. I will miss his smile and his humor and just plain silliness. My sincere condolences to all of Matt's family... he was a great guy and will be missed by many.

So heart broken for the family. We have many memories of Matt and all the other handball boys at the Courthouse, and at tournaments. Sitting here with tears in my eyes, sharing your grief.
