Marvel Francis (Lewis) Ghione was born on June 11, 1935 to Fred and Amelia Lewis in Manhattan Beach, Calif. After losing her parents at a young age, she spent her childhood with her beloved cousin, Claudel Palmer. Marvel married Paul Ghione in 1958 and raised three children: Paula, Nancy, and Joseph, in the San Franciso Bay Area. Paul and Marvel shared a happy marriage until Paul’s passing in 1994.
