I met Martha and her daughter Alex for the first time last year, during a family trip to California. The main thing I remember about her is how warm, polite, and loving she was. I also noticed how close her and her daughter were. Hearing about her passing, truly shocked me. Another reminder of how we never know when the Lord will call us home. I am praying for strength for her entire family, and may the good Lord continue to guide and protect Alex. Rest well Martha. 🙏🏾
Martha was a cherished member of our women lawyers support group. When she was studying for and taking the bar exam we gave her counseling time, and we all celebrated with her when she passed. We also were thrilled when she was recently named Attorney of the Year by the Alameda County Bar Association. Martha often spoke fondly of her dear daughter Alex, who we met online once in a while before or after group meetings. I posted a birthday greeting to Martha on her 41st birthday on our group text thread, and others joined in. We learned later why she didn't respond. We will miss her for years to come.
I was so sorry to hear about Martha's passing. She was such a loving and kind soul. She was very gentle and fun to be around. Ill always remember how kind she was to me and the bond we made in St. Maarten.
Our sincere condolences to the Prempeh Family. We cannot imagine the pain you are going through now. We continue to pray for you all during this difficult time. Nana Mart, Damrifa Due! Onyame Nfa wo kra ensie.
My Dearest Sweet Martha, I’m still in shock…it still doesn’t feel real yet that you’re gone. We just spoke two days before you left about the future with excitement 😭. Met at 14 and instantly became best friends and now forever sisters. So many countless beautiful memories with you, we practically grew up together and experienced every aspect of life together in our teens to adulthood… you are one of my greatest blessings and for that blessing I will always be grateful to God for giving me a beautiful big sister to have done life with. I will see you again my sister and will always, always cherish the beautiful moments…there are many to last a lifetime until eternity.
