Ms. Martha as my kids' called her, taught my three children piano lessons for 8 years (each one of them)! She saw them grow, and developed confidence to play their recital in front of other people. She was so patient and understanding with them. She even started giving DQ gift cards on my youngest son, Joshua as an incentive! My children couldn't believed when I told them about Martha's passing. We surely will missed her. Our thoughts and prayers especially for Martha! And also for the love ones left behind, Ron and Alex.
I will always remember her bright and cheerful smile. She was the sacristan for the 12:10 Thursday mass when I began lectoring in 2018, and her kind smile and cheerfulness always made me feel relaxed. We also really enjoyed her beautiful gift of music she brought to the parish. My deepest sympathies to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Martha Graham was a humble, holy, selfless lady who shared her musical talents (with hard work and practice) for so many of us at Queen of Peace Catholic Parish, playing the piano or organ at many concerts. Loretta Knauf and I visited Martha on July 4th at the rehab center. She was very weak and probably in much pain. We asked what she would like us to bring to her the next time we came to visit. Martha said "Twinkies." We didn't get back for the next visit, but I will bring the 3 boxes of Twinkies to the reception after Martha's funeral. May she rest in peace, and all her good works follow her. Thank you, Martha. We love you and pray for the repose of your soul. --- B.J. Nelson
We’ve shared many beautiful memories since your precious Alex was a baby. I will treasure those memories plus many more of those at church when praying was enriched by sounds you produced on the piano & keyboard. Abundant prayers & love go with you.
