I'm so sorry to hear of Mark's passing, and want to express sincere condolences to his family. I knew Mark as a kind soul and true athlete--he and I were in the same group of 11 Bikecentennial riders who pedaled across the U.S. in 1982. We bonded as a group like no other. I saw Mark one time after we returned East from our trip--he was in a running event going up the Mt. Washington auto road, which was held on the same day I decided to try riding my bike up the auto road. We literally ran into each other! 

I will miss Mark.
