Hey folks. Mark had a pretty large reach through his blog and his friendships. He had a wonderful online presence. Unfortunately we don't have access to his lists right now to make an announcement. I am sure that there are many people who he engaged that have relied on his wisdom and light, that have not heard about his death. Could you help us spread the word, and encourage people to do some reflection together? Please share. Thanks!

Notification from Jeanne Denney July 2025 Dear friends of Mark. It is with a more than heavy heart and a lot of tears that I have to report that Mark died this afternoon on the way to the hospital. I do not have many details at this time. What I DO know was that he was deeply touched by this outpouring of support for his well-being over these few days we have been collecting funds. Here is a quote from him 2 days ago: "Thanks so much for doing this, Jeanne. If there's one thing this cancer journey has taught me, there are a lot of people I love and who love me in return. That is something to discover over a lifetime." So thank you. Your message of love and support was received loud and clear. I know that it made a difference. Of course, since the original purpose of these funds has changed, I will refund money to anyone that wishes it. I do know that there will be plenty of expenses in the wake of Mark's death. These funds will be repurposed to support Muriel, his widow, and cover these costs. Anything more anyone wants to add will probably be gratefully received. But how odd to be talking about money. For all that he gave, may we offer Mark what, all in all, is more useful right now. Something he asked for when missing a board meeting recently. I asked what we could offer. "... maybe take a moment of silence to feel any gratitude for whatever contribution I've been able to make..." I wonder if we might all light a candle and do just that right now while Mark is making this great change.
