Aunty Marilou was such a beautiful person inside and out. I always loved being around her. She had such a kind, loving, generous, positive spirit. She loved her family, she loved her children! I’m so grateful I got to know her in this life. Blessed be the day we’re all reunited with our loved one who’ve passed on.

I never saw Marilou upset or not smiling. I will always remember her for her generous spirit and love for her Savior Jesus Christ. She truly beamed with His light. Earth was surely blessed to have her for a short while and now Heaven is blessed to have her home. I pray that the Lord's abundant peace is with all who has been bereaved of their sweet Marilou.

Marilou was a beautiful, faithful, loving daughter of our Heavenly Father. I remember in our Makiki Ward after our church meetings; linger longer, Rudy and Marilou lovingly prepared the delicious food, expertly decorated the festive table-“ better than the hotel”and with smiles greeted everyone as we entered the gym! Rest In Peace 😘 Aloha ‘Oe!

My sweet mother,

I have so much to say, yet nothing at all.  There will never be enough words that could sufficiently honor or encapsulate your infinite beauty.

These past two weeks without you have been seemingly directionless—some days, I’m still in disbelief that you’re not here anymore, and other days I’m content knowing that you’re no longer in pain.

Ever since we first found out about your cancer at the onset of the pandemic, the daily challenges we faced throughout these past two years have been a harrowing reminder that we truly live on borrowed time.  Serving you throughout this nightmare of a disease has been the greatest privilege.

I know that the brevity of this life is incomparable to the eternity of joy that I look forward to spending alongside you.  If the home you built here is even the tiniest reflection of the mansions prepared for you in heaven, I know that it is filled with love, resilience, patience, and a family who cares so deeply for you.  Though the battlefield of this life can sometimes seem unfair, I'm grateful that I was raised by your strength and example.

I miss you so much, and while it is intensely challenging to learn to navigate through the layers of emotion that come alongside this new journey without you, I have no doubts that your exceedingly bright light will continue to be a beacon that will lead me back to you.
