Rose's obituary

Loving and cherished mother and wife, forever in our hearts!

Maria Erosa “Rose” Pasion de Peralta, 65, of Kent, WA passed away at Harborview Medical Center on Friday April 9, 2021 after suffering multiple strokes. We find comfort in knowing that she did not experience any pain, and went with God, peacefully. She is preceded in death by her father Domingo. She is survived by “the love of her life” Tomas, daughter Roxanne de Peralta (& Joel Torres), son Rommel Cacanindin ( & Michelle Cacanindin), her mother, Jovita, and 4 sisters.

Born August 30, 1955 to Domingo and Jovita Pasion in Mangaldan Pangasinan, Philippines, Rose was the second eldest of 5 sisters (Natividad Acierto of Renton WA, Hilda Etrata of Montreal Canada, Virginia Pasion of Montreal Canada, and Belen Fong of Manila Philippines). Growing up, she would solely help her father herd water buffalo on the farm, as she was the tallest. Sisters recall Rose chasing after the animals if they ran away. Rose was also recalled to be “the prettiest” of the sisters. She would often reminisce about her days in school as Miss Senior, and of pageants in her home town.

Rose had a love of gardening and showed a lot of pride with her prized garden at her home. She had a talent of singing, and would often be found singing karaoke, and often would share stories from when she was a singer in the Philippines.

An immigrant from the Philippines, Rose spent over 20 years as a customer service manager at Wal Mart in Renton, WA. She was a hard worker with tremendous work ethic. She touched the lives of many she worked with, as well as those she met. Rose is often described to have an infectious smile, loving nature, and made instant connections with all. She is admired for the love she stood for and shared with those around her.

A Holy Mass will be held at St. Anthony Parish in Renton, WA and she will be laid to eternal rest on Tuesday May 4th, 2021 at Greenwood Memorial in Renton, WA. Although seasons may change, years may pass, and life may be lived – the memory of Rose will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
