Marcella's obituary

Marcella Payne, Marci, 85 passed away on October 16th 2021. She was born and raised in Oceanview, California and the youngest out of six children. She is joined with her parents Ronnie Payne and Jane Payne as well as siblings Bill Payne, Robert Payne, Angela Payne, Carol Hilton, and Traci Grace. She is survived by nephew Jason Payne and great niece and nephew Amanda Cloward and Paul Campos Jr.

Marci when 21, packed her backpack and began traveling the world. She loved to travel and in her time she went to every state in the US including Paris, Rome, Germany and Japan. She loved meeting new people and made friends anywhere she went, she was known for always being kind and treating others with compassion. One could describe her as a wildflower, rare to come across and hard to keep in one place. She was not afraid of being alone, she just wanted to see everything she could in this world.

Marci did live in New York from 1970-1976 but the city never felt like home. She started traveling again and bought her first and last home in Peoria, AZ min 1990. Marci loved Arizona, she loved the warm weather and had made many friends there and continued to travel with a home to come back to. Through the years of losing family and friends the big passion to travel grew but in 1995 after meeting her great niece, Amanda ( daughter to Jason Payne), she really felt the desire to be more involved in her life.

Marci was still making jokes and still had so much life in her even after she was fully on bed rest at the age of 72. She was very happy with the life she made for herself and great full she spent her last few months with Amanda and Paul. May she Rest In Peace.

There will be more information in the days to come about where to celebrate the life of Marci.
