Louie was born September 6, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Louis and Rosetta (Corcoran), Sr. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy with the class of 1974. Entrepreneurial in spirit, shortly after graduation Louie began Jensen Builders and Uncle Louie’s Woodchips. He was also proudly in the snow removal business for 55 years; he began shoveling for neighbors at a young age, then moved on to plowing for the community. For the past 40+ years, he has worked for Bandit Industries, where he was the Facilities Director. At Bandit he was known as “Louie the Liquidator”. He was considered a brother and father figure to some and a beloved friend to all. Louie truly loved his job and the people there. He will always be remembered for his “Louieisms”; his mentoring, positivity, and problem solving will be greatly missed. Louie was a genuine guy; always willing to listen and support everyone. Family and friends will miss his great sense of humor and storytelling.

Lou married Sandra K. VanOmmeren on June 21, 1989, in Mt. Pleasant. Together they loved spending time with their dog Neeko, listening to music, being in nature and camping. Lou enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and had a hobby farm. He and his buddies went on many spirited trips and enjoyed memorable times locally at Sleepy Hollow and the Loon Lodge. He was an avid snowmobiler and “snowmajeep” collector; he loved going with Bob Fox to snowmobile shows. Louie had many hobbies, he enjoyed learning about things and collecting them, he was a true lover of life.

Lou is survived by his wife, Sandy Jensen; daughter Nicole (Cheri) Jensen of Portland, OR; grandson Jude; sister Dianne (Mike) Morey of Mt. Pleasant; niece Shelly Morey of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law Ed (Sandy) VanOmmeren of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law Jean VanOmmeren of Mt. Pleasant; and many other nieces, nephews, and close friends and family.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents; and nephews Mark Morey and Mike Morey.

There will never be anyone like Louie, to know him was to love him.
