Background
Lou's legacy is one of friendship, compassion, humor and storytelling. He would help anyone in need and loved meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories. Whether you were the president or a stranger on the side of the road he would treat you the same.
Over the years he really enjoyed playing Santa Claus and helping to deliver gifts to those in need in the community. Fundraising is underway for a new homeless shelter to be opened in the area we can think of no better way to memorialize him than to help bring people in need together.
Your donation will help us to build the community room and kitchen at the shelter in his name. We can also volunteer in his honor.
About Isabella County Restoration House:
They provide shelter and empowering pathways to self-sufficiency for people experiencing homelessness in the community. Many people they support are single Mom's and children. Almost 80% of individuals gained employment while in their shelter and many were able to transition to their own apartments.
They rely heavily on the support of the community to fund the work that they do with 62% of their funding coming from individuals, thank you so much for your donations. If you are unable to donate funds you can donate your time by volunteering.
