I always felt welcomed by Lorie (I've known her as Mrs. Wilcox for most of my life, but she insisted for me to call her Lorie when I've met with her in recent years) whenever I came over to play video games or hang out in the garage playing board games. I am fortunate to have known her and know that her legacy lives on with her two sons, Brandon and RJ, who are brothers to me. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Lorie was a big part of the most formative years of my life. I grew up in the house across the street and have known the Wilcox family for close to 35 years. RJ was one of my first friends, Rick taught me how to ride a bike, and Lorie babysat me everyday after school. All these years later Lorie remained one of our closest family friends. We miss her dearly and it's been hard to accept the loss.

Lorie had a great sense of humor (with the best laugh) and she always had a good story to tell. One thing I’ll never forget is how much she loved to talk on the phone. I’d often hear her voice filling the house when I was there after school. Since then, the sound of her voice has always been comforting to me. I loved her laugh and I'm grateful I can still hear it in my mind when I think of her.

Lorie was a nurturing person by nature and her love was genuine and pure. She was a dog-mom, cat-mom, human-mom, and second-mom to me (as well as others). She actively cared so much for those around her and we were all lucky to have her.

I don't have childhood memories of anyone else, besides my immediate family, that are as vivid and meaningful as the ones I have of her. I'm so thankful to have had her in my life and will cherish my memories of her always.

FOREVER LOVE AND MISS YOU LORIE!
