Lori's obituary

Lori passed away on December 19, 2025, after a long and difficult journey marked by years of pain, ongoing medical complications, and a courageous battle with stage four metastatic liver cancer. After many complications, her family made the heartbreaking decision to remove life support, allowing her to find peace after enduring so much.

Lori’s life was complex and deeply human. She faced significant personal and mental health struggles, and her path was not an easy one. She became a mother at a young age, and circumstances led to years of separation from her children, who were raised by her parents. Later in life, she reconnected with her children, beginning a relationship shaped by hope, effort, and the challenges that come with healing old wounds.

Though those relationships were marked by ups and downs, Lori was loved. She is remembered for moments of warmth and sincerity—times when her guard was down and her love was visible. Those who knew her best will remember her for the depth of her emotions, her vulnerability, and the flashes of connection that reminded everyone of the good she carried within her.

Lori is survived by her children, grandchildren, and family members who carry forward the lessons learned through loving her—among them, the importance of empathy, forgiveness, and the commitment to breaking generational cycles with intention and care.

A celebration of life reception will be held for immediate family and close family friends in the DFW area. The family is deeply grateful for the love and support shown during this time and invites those who wish to honor Lori to share memories, stories, and photographs in her remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for support in helping fund Lori’s memorial and celebration of life. Contributions of any size will help honor her with dignity and allow her family the space to grieve and remember her meaningfully.

While Lori’s life held hardship, it also held significance. Her story does not end in struggle, but in peace. She will be remembered with honesty, compassion, and grace—and her legacy lives on through the healing, love, and hope carried forward by those she leaves behind.
