1974, Brunswick Road, Montclair, NJ, USA
I met Lloyd through Gayle when she was at Montclair State. Gayle and I lived in the same house... the owner was renting rooms to students. It was a time of change. The country was waking up and racial tension was growing. Lloyd taught me so much about his life, and the cultural impact of a mixed relationship. Gayle and Lloyd opened my eyes to real love that triumphs despite bigotry of the time. So many long talks. Wow, it seems like yesterday. Thank goodness for Facebook. I'd lost contact after my divorce and reconnected with Gayle a few years ago. Lloyd was a remarkable man who loved Gayle with all his heart. I remember when Jason was born how happy he was. The world is a little less brite without Lloyd in it. Rest in peace old friend, you are loved and missed by everyone who knew you.

We were neighbors with Lloyd and his beautiful family a little over 15 years ago in Flanders NJ.  It was easy to see Lloyd was a wonderful family man who loved Gayle and Jason very much. Lloyd was always a great conversationalist and could talk to you about any topic you had an interest in. If you were not having a great day  and you saw Lloyd with his incredible smile, it would totally change how you were feeling.  Lloyd was a gentle soul, who would always take time to listen if there was something you needed to discuss.  Our condolences go out to Gayle, Jason and the entire family.

Sincerely, Pat and Richard Iglody

I only met Lloyd once, but knew immediately he was one of a kind and why Gayle was so in love with him. I am truly sorry for his passing, but glad he had such a long life filled with love❤️
