Lita's obituary
She leaves behind her son, Gary Hand and brother Carl Cox; granddaughters Tracie Vallem, Lelia Walker, Susie Taylor and grandsons Stefan McDonald, J.R. Hand., nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, O.B. (d.1961) and Rosemary Cox (d.1991), and a daughter, Linda Hamilton in 2007, who died at the age of 56.
Born in Woodburn, Oregon July 29, 1928, Lita spent her early years, surrounded by lots of family with many cousins, aunts and uncles working on the family farm and in the orchards. Lita lived in and around various parts of Oregon part of her life and then moved to Stockton CA with her parents when she was in her late teens.
Long known for her positive outlook on life and her sense of humor, Lita was a joy to be around. She had a charming spunky personality and was lots of fun. She was loved deeply by her family and will truly be missed.
A private memorial service will be held at the Stockton Rural Cemetery in Stockton, California for family members.
