I was saddened to hear of Letty’s passing. Although we lost touch for a while, I will always remember Letty as one of my first friends I made at EHS as a freshman. Her infectious laugh and great sense of humor immediately won me over. Recently, we enjoyed sharing pictures of each others’ grandbabies. She is and always will be a forever friend. Rest well, sweet Letty.

Letty has been one of my dearest friends for the last 20 years. To say that I will miss her is not strong enough, but I will try. I will miss her contagious laugh. I will miss her beautiful smile and comforting words. I'll miss calling her almost every day and receiving calls from her almost every day. I'll miss her asking how my school year is going and hear her saying that she is so glad that she's retired now and telling me that I will love it someday. I'll miss her bragging about her grandkids, Natalie, Clay, and Linzy, and also asking about my grandbaby Hayden. I'll miss her stories and how proud she is of her daughters Niki and Robyn. I'll miss how she always spoke so lovingly of Bobby. I'll miss the birthday lunches and outings we had with our dear friend Marianne. Even though I will miss Letty, I'll smile when I think about her in heaven. I can hear her saying loudly, "OH MY GOSH! THIS IS WONDERFUL! YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY. IT'S FANTASTIC HERE!"

Letty was a faithful friend to all. I taught with her at Scudder when we had a smaller staff. We were Sisters in Christ and part of a small group that prayed after school . I went to Letty's room many times to gripe or vent and she always made me feel better. She was a secret keeper and a true friend. I loved her and my heart hurts with her passing . I am praying Peace over Bobby and all the family.

Letty, Diana Spangenberg and I taught second grade together with Wimberley ISD for 14 years. We stayed in touch after her retirement and enjoyed sharing birthday celebrations, lunches and photos of grandchildren. Letty always remained positive, despite her health issues. Her faith sustained her. I admired her and will miss her greatly.

Bobby, Robyn, Nicole and families ~ My heart goes out to you at the passing of your sweet Letty. I so enjoyed getting to know her when we were neighbors many years ago. She was a beautiful soul inside and out with a smile that could light up a room and had such great love for her family. May the memories you share carry you through these difficult times. She will always be watching over you. Much love to you all.

Words cannot express the sorrow and sadness I feel at the loss of my dear friend, Letty. I am proud to call her my friend. We shared many memories over the years which have left an indelible mark upon my heart. Letty loved her family most of all. I remember how thrilled and nervous she was to be Nikki’s mom. Then came the miracle baby, Robyn. She felt so blessed. I laughingly remember being on the phone when suddenly she would say—Helen, I have to go; Bobby just got home. She had a fabulous life loving and caring for her family; you were her everything. Letty is gone but never forgotten. We send our condolences to the family and please know we are thinking of you.
