Letty's obituary

Letty Beth Reynolds Derr

Passed from this earth at 5:55pm on July 19, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Letty was born on May 22, 1955 to Harold and Delia Mae Reynolds, of Edinburg, Texas.

Letty grew up in Edinburg, TX and graduated from Pan American University.

Letty and Robert (Bobby) Derr met in 1980. Not only did she fall in love with Bobby, but as well as his beautiful little girl, Niki. Bobby and Letty were married for 41 wonderful years.

Teaching young children was Letty’s gift and profession for over 35 years. She gave her heart and passion to all her students and spent countless “overtime” hours preparing to make every single day a success for her kids. Letty taught for Mission ISD, PSJA ISD, and Wimberley ISD.

After Letty retired, she enjoyed facetiming her grandbabies every morning, and watching her oldest granddaughter Natalie play tennis. Playing all the new fun games that an iPhone can hold, while going on drives with her sweet Bobby in their jag was her favorite pastime. Letty loved everyone she met, and lit up the room with her smile. Letty’s strong faith in the Lord was seen throughout her life. She loved attending her small Sunday School group with the wonderful people whom she held dear to her heart.

Letty is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Delia Mae Reynolds, her baby, Elizabeth Callie Derr, in-laws, Henry and Lois Derr. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Derr, children Nicole Karam (David), Robyn Lueck (Bill), grandchildren, Natalie Karam, Clay Lueck, Linzy Lueck, brothers James Reynolds (Bettye) and family, Eddie Reynolds and sons.
