It takes a village, they say. Daddy, you (and Mommy) were definitely a part of my village. You had been on my mind all week. Hearing of your passing broke my heart. Thank you for opening up your already full home to me and adding me to the roster of your "colored children," as you called us. I learned so much while I was there. I will always be grateful to you for sharing your home with me when I didn't have a place to lay my head.

Uncle Leon’s Love & Lessons 

Every time I was blessed with my uncle Leon’s presence, it came with love, laughter and a lesson. He would greet me every time with a loving hug, followed by kisses on my cheek and then a lesson. It could be a life lesson, a plumbing lesson, a relationship lesson or a biblical lesson. But one☝🏼thing my uncle would do is shower you with love and lessons and don’t let me leave out story time… thee best! I’m gonna miss him, but I hold everything that he shared with me right in my heart and apply it to my life as needed.🫶🏻🪽So the fact that my children knew how to replace a whole toilet at the age of 5 years old is all on that man… Thank You Uncle Leon For EVERYTHING!🥰🙏🏼💛
