Dad, you're the best. It's now dawning on me, the significance of us both serving in the Navy at Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA.

I'm still looking for the ALL NAVY WRESTLING CHAMP PLAQUE. When I find it I will post.

Love you!

(Dad loved his all his daughter's!)

Note: The year is an estimate.  For anyone with details or videos of my Dad wrestling, please post! (Alternatively, if you know a point of contact for this, please post)

My Dad loved the song, "God has smiled on me".  It came to mind today.

Forever, Dad.  To the furthest galaxies and ever expanding universe.  I know you're happy with God on those streets of gold that you taught us about in Sunday School!

My Dad would give his last, often, to help anyone in need. He brought groceries for families and gave money to people in need.  For one pastor,  he bought and delivered meal supplements from the time he was diagnosed with cancer until the pastors transition. My Dad was a servant-leader, always helping in any compacity, often causing himself pain. He never bragged and never told a soul all that he gave. However, watching him do it as a child and throughout my lifetime, I witnessed it first hand. He was a true example of the Jesus of the Bible. I often reflect that being with him was like walking with Christ but not knowing it until after the accession.

Growing up on car rides while listening to gospel music, my Dad would often say, "Lena and Whitney, no matter what at my funeral let them know, Jesus was the best thing that ever happened to me. He saves from the gutter most to the utter most, don't forget."

One of his favorite songs to play on the keyboard and sing was,
Jesus keep me near the Cross,
there's a precious foundation,
free to all a healing stream,
flows from Calvary's mountain.

That's the song I keep hearing today.

Love you always, Dadd-E
