Birthday Tribute – May 26, 2025

Dear Leo,

Yesterday would have been your birthday, and I couldn’t let the day pass without honoring your beautiful soul. I shared the birthday card you used to send each year — that little tradition that made us all feel seen and remembered.

Your friendship was a gift — constant, mutual, and deeply special over the course of 40 years. You captured so many moments of my life with your lens: from my twenties to my pregnancy, always with the tenderness and artistry that only you could bring.

Thank you for loving my son as your own, for being there without fail, and for showing up with heart, presence, and light.

I also shared a sunset photo you once posted from Florida — it reminds me of your quiet brilliance and the depth of your gaze.

You may have journeyed on, but your vision, kindness, and warmth remain woven into my life forever.

Despite we never met in person Leo taught me a lot. Photography, mostly. Humanness, too.
