Tho we never met Lauren we saw what a beautiful bride she was and know how happy she made Andrew. Tom and I are constantly thinking of you all and many prayers are being sent to help you survive her shocking loss. It is just not right to lose such a bright light.
Our hearts are with you Nancy, Jenn, and Thomas. Jenn, your words brought tears to our eyes. We send you our love and many hugs. Maria and Bill Katoski
Lauren you were always the fun and wild older cousin, who had the best stories—whether they were about our family, your friends, or the newest place you had traveled to. The best part of these stories was your contagious laugh, you could burst out at any moment during a storyline. I remember wanting to sit next to you at family gatherings, not only so that I could hear these stories, but also because you always made me feel included (and I thought you were really cool). We will miss hearing your laugh at Christmas. We love and miss you❤️ Live like Lauren.

Sharing in your sadness as you remember Lauren. She was a phenomenal co-worker, mentor and most importantly friend. She always treated me with respect and brought out the best in me. I learnt so much from Lauren and am incredibly thankful to have had her presence in my life.

Andrew, Brixy and Lauren's family - I hope you feel surrounded by love during this difficult time.
Hi Beautiful,

You always did have a way of bringing people together. Andrew, Tom, Nancy, Jenn, Justen, Caiden, Chloe, Judy Will, Rebecca, Patrick, and Ava - thank you for giving me the honor of saying a few words about our girl. My bestie. My Laurdog. My soul sister. And thank you for giving me the greatest gift - her presence, love, and friendship.

To say that Lauren was special would be the greatest understatement. I truly do not know another person who would even remotely hold a candle to our girl. She loved fiercely. Not just the people sitting here, but so many more. If you were blessed to be part of Lauren’s orbit, she would move heaven and earth if you needed something. She personified selflessness. And if you ever saw her with her dogs, Jersey or Brixy, you would understand what I mean. Her family - you were her pride and joy. She would share stories about you with a twinkle in her eye and joy in her voice. And Andrew...Lauren loved you with every ounce of her being. But I don’t need to tell you that. From the first moment she saw your picture - not even the real you! - she knew. And isn’t that just the epitome of our girl.

She knew what she wanted, and she went after it. Her tenacity and conviction were unmatched. From her incredibly successful decade-long career at Google to founding her own successful business Dogpatch Digital...to buying an incredible home and creating the most beautiful life in the city by the Bay...things were just as Lauren wanted them. And if she ever found herself in a rut, she would work her way right out by leaning on her family and friends.

Lauren was such a smartie pants. She knew how to make the best out of every situation. She knew how to make the best situations, period. I don’t think anyone will ever be able to plan a vacation quite like Lauren. From finding the most baller hotels to unimaginably beautiful AirBnBs - always to suit everyone’s needs - and activities to experience at every destination...you were spoiled rotten if Lauren was planning. But also important to note, your bank account wasn’t drained at the end, because that girl could find a deal and use points like a champion.

We had so many adventures together. There should have been so many more. We were exploring together from the minute we first met, looking at wedding venues in Napa. And it never stopped, all the way down to her last day when she was supporting and challenging me on the slopes. We took a big girl’s trip every year to do our favorite things: sit by the pool and the beach in the sun, side by side, drinking cocktails and making new friends. We mastered the art of packing a suitcase full of champagne to bring with us, and successfully even made it through customs on more than one occasion. We went to Australia, Cabo, Cancun, Hawaii, Austin, Plymouth...so many places I can’t list them all. Lauren truly saw the world with the people she loved.

But it wasn’t always extravagant - and even those moments were special...and in fact those were some of my best memories with her. I can’t tell you the number of nights (and days...don’t tell) we sat on the couch together in our sweats, often with Andrew and a dog, too, talking, snacking (always including some sour gummy snacks or hot tamales for Lauren), drinking craft cocktails...we shared stories of our lives and our dreams for the future. We literally never ran out of things to say to each other. And on the occasion we did, sitting in silence next to each other was just as easy.

I know I’m not the only one who had a special relationship with Lauren. She had such a special way of building bonds with people. We were all beyond blessed to have spent time knowing and loving her. I could stand her all day and tell you stories about Lauren. We’d be here for awhile. But I promise to keep telling those stories for the rest of my life. Lauren will live on through all of us, and the way we live our lives. Work hard. Play hard. Maybe play even a little bit harder. Live like Lauren.

Lauren, you made me a better version of myself. We live in a better version of the world because of you. I promise to carry you with me in everything I do. I’ll live large. I’ll appreciate the little things. I’ll always say yes. I’ll even work on being more punctual. We will all carry you with us in our hearts every single day.

I love you, Laurdog. You will always have a piece of my heart that will never be whole again.

Lauren meeting her niece Ava …
Lauren meeting her niece Ava for the first time. She was overjoyed for us and was so excited to be an Aunt. She got Ava 3 books about San Francisco “so Ava will want to visit.” She was so peaceful on the back porch with Ava and loved every minute of it. Oh how I love and miss her. Ava will hear many great stories about her aunt Lala who loved her so much.

Lauren loved big and with her whole damn heart. If you were a part of her pack she would move the ocean for you. “Oh, your dog ran away, I just overnighted you a GPS unit so if it happens again you can track him down.” After mentioning sleep wasn’t the best during pregnancy, “I reached out to 10 of my friends, read 5,000 Amazon reviews, and and sure I’ve found the best pregnancy pillow to help with sleep. It’s on the way.” When almost every one else told me not to start my own business because it was too scary. “Becca, you have to do this now. There is no better time. Do it. Now “

Throughout the 19 years she was with Andrew I witnessed an unmatched partnership. It was never about her or him, it was always about inviting their friends and family in to share what they were so lucky to have. We were all happy to join the amazing ride.

We are in shock how our healthy, young, full of life, sweet Lauren could have died so suddenly and quickly. When the autopsy results came we learned that an enlarged heart contributed to cardiac arrhythmia. Lauren’s heart was literally and metaphorically too big for this world. We will never be able to comprehend the finality of this enormous loss.

Lauren, we love you, we are grateful to know you, we miss you, and as we sit with this forever un-fillable void, we commit to find ways to celebrate you forever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved seeing all of Lauren’s travel pictures. After every trip I would ask her for her itinerary as she was an amazing trip planner and she would happily share them with me. She was an amazing person who I admired greatly. The way she lived her life is a lesson to all. Everyone needs to do as Lauren did. Take a risk, follow your heart, go and get your dream and don’t wait for tomorrow.

Lauren was the best and she will be missed tremendously by so many. She was always down for a good time, her infectious positive energy, enthusiasm and her zest for life were one of a kind and she truly lived every moment to the fullest. We have so many amazing memories with Lauren and Andrew over the years and knew when we’d be hanging out with Lauren it was bound to be a great time. My very first time meeting Lauren was when she was hosting a pre-game in her dorm when most people were drinking cheap beer, she was whipping up frozen strawberry daiquiris and I thought she was so cool!!! We have been heartbroken since hearing the news and have been thinking of you and your families during this incredibly difficult time and sending love and strength. Lauren will be missed beyond words.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May time and many memories soften this horrible tragedy. Much hope and love to all.
Peace and prayers.

I’m still in disbelief. But I have many fond memories with Lauren growing up. She was a great friend, always smiling and laughing and always up for a good time. Doing a semester abroad with Lauren in Australia was a great experience, she knew how to plan the weekly excursions. They didn’t always go as planned but we still had fun. To the families I am very sorry for your loss.

Nancy, Tom, Jenn, Andrew, Brixy, Justen, Courtney, Caiden, Chloe, Mr & Mrs Babicz's, Becca, Patrick, Ava all the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear Friends of Lauren, there are no words to explain the sorrow and emptiness left in a world without our Lauren in it. To know Lauren was to love her. She was one of the most fun, loving, thoughtful, honest and loyal friends I've ever had (tied with Jenn of course). I can still hear her laughing maniacally with me as we ventured into some ridiculous excursion with little thoughts about the consequence, but to just be present and joyful. This laugh is something I will never forget. This person who has been like a little sister to me over the years is someone I will always cherish. Being an extra part of the Rooke clan is something magical. I can only hope we will all find inspiration in these sad days to live freely and happily. To do the things that make us the most happy now. To love and support each other and to always be true to who we are. To live like Lauren!! All the love to all of you. Rest in peace little Rooke, keep shining that bright light upon all of us like you do so well. You will forever be missed in this lifetime but never ever forgotten!!
I am so heartbroken to learn of Laurens sudden passing. My thoughts are with her huge network of family and friends. Lauren was truly one of a kind and I am so grateful for the years of fun and adventure we had together. I will think of her often and always smile.
