Dec. Jones was a father figure to me. He always looked out for me when I was younger. He was in places that I was, that I didn’t know he was there. Then when I saw him at youth meeting he would tell me, “I seen you walking with your friends and some little boys”. He stuck around to make sure I  was ok. He and Sis. Jones always picked me up for youth meeting, They were the best youth director ever. Dec. Jones I love you and I’m gonna miss you. Take your rest. You are safe in the Fathers  arms.
I remember whenever you was in Chicago and I got the chance to have a conversation with you. The knowledge and wisdom that you left me was the best. You had so much to share. May God be pleased with you!!!
Condolence to our family you really go be missed we Love you.

To me, Mr. Jones was Dad. Monique and I have been best friends for 31 years and meeting her gave me a 2nd family. You don't get to pick your biological family, but you do get to pick your framily.  From the moment I met dad, Mama Jones and B.J., they welcomed me as their daughter and sister. It never failed that dad had a joke or a funny story when we spoke. He never failed to check on me, pray for me and my family and end the call letting me know he loved us. This one hits deep. You can take your rest now dad, your work here is done. We will miss you.

Love you,

Meme and Gigi

To the Jones family you have my deepest condolences. Words cannot express how much I am going to miss Lamar and the times we shared.  I know we were not suppose to be here forever but the Lord had other plans for my dear brother in law. I am going to forever be grateful for everything he did and how he open his home up for me to visit him and Sheryl.  I really loved and appreciated my Brother in Law. I just know that he is in a better place now and I will see him again. So take your rest Brother in law. You deserve it. You have completed the journey of life and it was a good ride. You will be forever in my heart and i am never gonna forget you. Much Love. Rest easy. Love you always. Yvonne (Tee Tee Von)
