So sorry to all who was touched by Lady Hawk, and was around her day after day. To the staff and anyone who was able to be in her presence and see her. I was blessed to see her at an open house event a few years back. Tamarack you are in my thoughts and prayers, and may her spirit fly high above us all. Know that her spirit will live on by those who carry her memory with them forever.

It was one of the greatest privileges of my life to have known Lady Hawk. From the moment I met her she was graceful, beautiful and had an incredible presence. Her gentle, dark eyes always seemed to convey a calm understanding. Being around her brought about a serene feeling, and I will never forget the peace I felt standing outside in the sun with Lady on the glove. We had many of those moments throughout the years we knew one another, and she taught me that it is okay to stop everything, take a breath, and enjoy the moments of our lives. She will be greatly missed, but I am so grateful for the time that she gave to myself and others to teach us about the beauty of all things wild. Fly free, beautiful Lady. ❤️

After 31 incredible years, our beloved Lady Hawk's spirit moved on on the afternoon of Saturday, June 11th. She was outside on the glove, enjoying the sunshine when her time came. Lady was an incredible bird. She changed my life, as well as the lives of staff and volunteers before and after my time. She has touched the lives of so many through programming, and her gentle and patient demeanor has inspired us all. She was the first bird I ever handled on the glove, and I am so grateful to have been with her in the end. So much love and gratitude for our dear Lady. She will be remembered and missed. Yours in love and grief,Jess Schombert
