Kristy, I am at a total loss of words for the terrible loss of your son. I can't imagine the pain you are going through, and your mom, and the rest of your family. I never really knew Kristopher, but I feel so heartbroken for the loss of him, because if I can't even begin to imagine what I would do if this were to happen to my son. Someone needs to be found accountable for what they've done, and I pray to God that they will find them and penalize them to the fullest extent of the law!!!

You came into this world on May 17th 1997 at 9:38p.m. You measured 21&1/2in long and weighed 8lbs 14ozs. You were a month late and I was not waiting any longer. I remember it all like it was yesterday. I can see the hospital room filled with people; family and friends that had come to be a part of your birth firsthand. There were 14 people in that hospital room who's only purpose was to welcome you into this world, everyone wanting to hold you. You are so loved Tophie and that love hasn't faded since your passing, it's stronger. You have helped multiple people level up with realizations of how they could be a better version of themselves. I hope and pray that you know that, that you knew how much you really are loved. I can't beat myself up for past mistakes or think about what could have been if the course of events leading up to this had been slightly different. It's hard to accept this, really hard to believe that this is our reality. I just have to look up to God and know that He has a plan. I always say that when its your time to go you will go. People fall out of airplanes and survive and fall out of bed and die we can't change our fate. I just hate that this was yours. I would trade places with you in an instant if I could but apparently I'm not advanced enough to cross over to the other side. Im stuck earthbound focused on finding the person that did this to you. You will not die in vain, I promise I will not let you. I see the devastation that losing you has caused. You mean so much to so many different people it is hard to see everyone hurting like this and I know you wouldn't want anyone to be sad. You always had the sweetest disposition. You would give your stuff away, you would bring people home, you didn't see creed or color you really accepted people as they were and they could tell you were genuine. I am so proud of you Kristopher. You were working hard at a legit 9-5 and sticking to your long term goal of being a professional entertainer/lyricist. You stayed humble and never complained about how tough things were for you. You never expected anything in return for all that you gave and you never held grudges for how others behaved. I remember when you were 8 and you said all you wanted for Christmas was for me to stop smoking. I love you so much Kristopher, I love my little lover boy, my heart is heavy knowing I can never hug you again. Everything reminds me of you and it is bittersweet. You will always be my baby, my tophie, my little big head, my mingers. I can still hear your voice saying "Ma I love you" I can still feel your huggies and peck kisses. I need to know your in a better place looking after all of us until we see each other again. This separation is only temporary and sadly something you have endured before but after this will never have to endure again. I Love you Kristopher and thank you for all the love you have always given to me. Love Mom.

So many thoughts run through my mind of so many little things that add up to one big memory. The memory that comes to mind the most was the love that Kris had for the kiddos. He was always a big kid himself when it came to entertaining the kids. They all loved him, he was so cool in their eyes. I remember Hawaii with the family, him walking on the sand with a hoodie, jeans and shoes. I wondered if he knew we were in Hawaii. But that was him, his style and he rocked it. Pushing the kids on the luggage cart leaving the airport in Hawaii. Hanging with us on the Disney cruise.. I remember the way he would swing his head to the side when his curly bangs were in his way. I will remember the young boy I met when Aaron and Gabs 1st started dating.. and I smile hearing Jack call him a Dufus. My heart goes out to the family as a loss of a loved one is never easy. I hope the pics and the memories will soon bring a smile to your hearts 💙

I’ve known kris since he was born .. me and Aaron would take my son Matthew and kristopher to the beach and jump off cliffs in La Jolla or go ride the roller coaster at Belmont among other things .. this ones going to sting for a while .. to my good buddy red since I was 8 years old and to the family and friends affected by this senseless tragedy just remember the joy and happiness kris brought to you in the time he was with us .. I remember living in the streets, not having no where to go when kris was living with his dad. Knowing my situation he never wanted me to be hungry, cold or even alone. This one day I was just talking to him and “he was like aye just pull up ima give you something” all the way in clairmont so I asked the homie to take me, he came out in 200$ in 1s 😭😭😭 talking about here girl go get something to eat & a jacket. That was his soul. It makes me cry thinking about it bc he was someone I could always depend on. I knew that if my son needed diapers he would help me figure it out, or help me get a job or make a resume. He was so close to me, his mom, his family. Thank you for everything you did for me and my family tophie. We love you so much.

I remember the first time I met Kris. I was in my senior Spanish class and saw that he followed me on instagram. I remember stepping out of class and telling all my homegirls to meet me in the bathroom to help me determine if someone as beautiful as Kris really existed. We all swore that someone was using his photos to make a fake page.
He was so handsome and angelic, there was no way someone like him would be interested in my weirdo tumblr girl phase.
He told me that he and his friend from Europe were visiting his family in Kansas City and they were looking for things to do in the city. We made plans to hang out that weekend, but I had finals and he had to go back to Cali.
After two years of not talking or further reconnecting, one of my friends invited me to 825 studio to listen to her friends perform. I was debating not going but I reluctantly went. I left the “concert” early to go outside and get some air but as I was walking out I saw Kris, well the back of his head. I walked up to him and he turned around and flashed the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. He said “I swear I know you!! I’ve seen you a long time ago!!” He told me he was going to finish up paying for his studio session and asked me to meet him in the back alley where his car was parked 😂. My friends were so encouraging “yess go meet him in the alley!!”
Anyways, we met in the alley and we talked for hours. Then after i went home he drove up to my house so we could talk more. When we finally got tired at like 5 am and i was getting out of the car, he turned to me and said “Damn I think I love you.”
I was in so much pain before I met Kris. I know I was always hard to deal with but for the first time in my life I felt a real connection with someone. He never judged me, he always encouraged me and he always saw the good.
He taught me how to be kind and gentle. He taught me how to be thankful for the little things.
He taught me that it was possible to love people as much as cats.
Every time he spoke he taught.
He was so patient with everyone. He always gave people endless chances and never gave up on them.
Kris, the love you showed me is something so personal I’ll never feel that way with anyone and I thank you for that.
Your love was special and you made me know everyday that it would never fade. I’m so blessed to have known you and even though we only knew each other for 4 years I feel like I’ve known you my whole life.
