To Kim’s family ,
I worked with Kim in Round Rock at St David’s .
She was one of the sweetest persons I’ve ever known, and it deeply saddens me for her family.
Kim was so kind to everyone including me when I started working as a traveler at her hospital . She gave her heart and soul to her family and friends.
My deepest condolences to her family ,and
all who knew her
Sincerely, Donna Staggs
Joe and I met Kim when we bought Dribble Chick in the 80's. She had such a hard time selling her but she was going to college. So, we invited Kim to come visit Chick, and the visit ultimately turned into Kim, and sometimes Chis, spending summers helping us ride and just generally care for our horses. So many fun memories!

mama nelson, I miss you so much. love you forever.

Sending my deepest sympathies. I met Jess at UA, and some of my most favorite moments were when she would talk about her mom. We would laugh so much that I'd snort, cry, likely both... I feel like I knew Kim before I even met her. Thank you such a wonderful memorial site.

I met Kim at Jim Colleary Cutting Horses early in our cutting horse years. . We both showed cutters and were riding colts, showing, participating in futurities on the west coast. It was an immediate friendship that lasted to this day.

She really would take the colts that I was afraid of that were known to buck, not just crow hop, but buck you off… head in dirt.  I was a chicken but she would quietly grab those colts for the day, never making me feel bad. I never saw her get bucked off.  Just one of the stories that best speaks of the friend she was.

So many wonderful stories I could share from those days on through showing our own futurity prospects, marriage, having our daughters, both of us moving to Texas which we loved. We were so excited because there was literally a cutting every day of the year somewhere in Texas! If not a cutting, at least a roping.

She was truly an outstanding horsewoman  I always wanted to ride cutting horses like her and especially show cutters like she did. But even more, she was a wonderful friend and kind soul. RIP Kim

Rest In Peace Kim. You were the first person to ever get me to try Round Rock Donuts and was always a smiling beacon of hope in a dismal day at the hospital. I will never forget the kind, strong words you would share with me as I faced my own trials and tribulations. I cherish all the fun times we did have. Prayers to the family and friends in the coming times without our dear Kim.
My dear friend, I miss you already.  I will keep your memory close to my heart.

So sorry for your loss. I think of Kim every night when I put on my bright pink reading lamp. One of the most useful gifts I've ever received! XOXO

I am so sorry to hear. I didn't realize she lived so close to me. I graduated from Sandy high school in 1982 as well and I live in Austin now. Please let me know how I can help.  So sorry to hear.
