Update on 5/29: Additional donations received (many in kind) are being used to pay for services, food, and memorial elements in support of Kevin’s Life that will be celebrated at Plymouth Covenant Church tomorrow. We are incredibly grateful and will see you soon!
A special thanks to my St. Cloud State University faculty and friends for all that you have provided to me in terms of achieving my goal and helping out in my absence. Eternally grateful!
Update on 5/22: Thank you all for your generous, love, and support. With the funds collected this far, I have worked with my local nursery, Lynde Greenhouse, to help me develop two plans:
1. A front yard area will have a Japanese Maple and some bleeding hearts.
2. A backyard area where a Blue Spruce Christmas Tree will be planted to honor Kevin’s memory and favorite time of year. The tree will be surrounded by a variety of perennials that will add color and interest to the space.
The plants will be at the church and then transported to my home. Creating these spaces can be a therapeutic process, helping with grief and emotional healing for all of us. So, I hope to plant as much as possible on Saturday May 31st and I welcome extra hands to help. A very smart friend of mine says, “many hands make light work.”
Now and in the years to come, I hope that you will visit to share memories and create new ones!
