Kevin and I had a special bond after spending many late nights working together preparing for the city's budget week. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a joy to work with. I'll miss him, both professionally and personally. My best to his family.
It was an honor to work with Kevin at the City of Bloomington, and I worked with him on several projects there. While I wish I had been able to get to know him better, I know he was an awesome person. I send my prayers to his family and friends, knowing there are big shoes to fill at both work and home.
I was so happy to have Kevin as a part of the City of Bloomington 2020 innovation project team. While he took the work seriously, he always reminded us to not take ourselves too seriously. Sending thoughts of peace to the family.

So very sorry for your loss. Kevin was a great friend to everyone he met.
Our condolences to all the family, his happiness and joy will always be remembered. The Matzenbacher's family
Kevin was a great friend, a good man and had a heart of gold. We are deeply saddened by his sudden passing. Rest In Peace, my friend.
I can remember the day that I met Kevin like it was yesterday. One warm summer day I rode my โ€˜Big Wheelโ€™ down the street (I know! But, this was the 70โ€™s :-) ). I soon came upon another kid on his Big Wheel and asked how old he was. The kid responded by holding up a hand of five fingers. He then asked how old I was. I promptly held up a hand of five fingers. We then exchanged names and seemingly instantly became brothers with extended families! I can recall this because Kev and I talked and laughed about it often. Iโ€™m so proud of the man Kevin became, the family he raised, and am blessed to have grown up with him. I miss him greatly and pray for all family and friends. We love you Kevin!
Kevin is someone who brought joy and positivity to those around him. He helped anyone who would ask, me included, and I will truly miss his sense of humor and the joy he brought into my life.
Kevin always had a smile on his face. He was always in the football pool and if he was near the top of the standings you could always expect an email response when the standing for the week were sent out. He won the college football pool one year and was enjoying telling me how good he was maybe a little too much. So i decided to pay him his winnings in quarters. I think it was like 300 or 400. He just looked at me and smiled. Veste I'm going to have to make multiple trips on my bike to take all these home. Always making the best of things, that's how i will remember Kevin.
It was such a blow to learn of Kevin's passing. He was a wonderful colleague, and human being. A big smile and a generous heart, full of care and of service. I had a budget meeting with him just this week, on Monday afternoon, and as always he was positive, encouraging, helpful, and spot on. He made all of us in city government better at what we do, and I and we will miss him greatly. Our deepest condolences to the family, and our hopes that his smile and his love will live with you always, and ease some of this hard sorrow, from his abrupt and too-early departure.
Our sincere condolences for the loss of your father and our neighbor friend. Weโ€™ll remember that Kevin always found something fun to chat about when he passed by with his dog Cooper.
I am truly sorry for your loss as he had a personality that lit up a room and a heart of gold. He will be missed. He will be eating his Grandmother's soda bread while his Dad and Uncle are telling stories and Dan ,Della are playing cards with my parents.
Those of us who worked with Kevin at the City of Bloomington are shocked and so very sad about his passing. We felt incredibly lucky to have convinced him to join us in the first place and he was doing such great work on behalf of the residents of our community. He was a lovely person and will be very much missed by his colleagues.
Jerry and I are neighbors. Kevin celebrated Halloween with us one year and our grandchildren thought he was so fun! He also shared our fire pit this fall and we thought there would be many more times to share. So glad we had the opportunity to get to know Kevin and Cooper of course. Sean we are here for you if you need anything. May Godโ€™s peace and comfort surround you and the rest of your family.
