Obituary
Kenneth Dee “Ken” “Kenny” Syre was born to Raymond and Delores Syre of Everson, WA on Sept. 11, 1944. Together with his siblings David, Stephen, Margaret, and Mary he was raised on the family farm on the Nooksack River. After graduating from Mt. Baker High School, Ken was in the Army and attended both WSU and WWU, earning degrees in Vocational Education/General Agriculture and Sociology/Anthropology.
After a brief time teaching he found his true passion …
