Obituary

Kenneth Gene Boyd, age 64, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Friday, April 30th, 2021, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri, from complications of Covid.

He was born June 22, 1956, to the parents of Robert Lee Boyd and Faye Irene (Elliott) Lawson. His parents preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his bonus Dad, Donald A. Lawson, and his youngest daughter, Bethany Rae (Johnson) Eubanks.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Holtzclaw) Boyd, his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Boyd, his sister and brother-in-law, Steve and Mellody (Lawson) Allee, and sister, Rhonda Lawson. His surviving children are one daughter, Amber Leah Boyd, and 4 sons, Eric James Boyd, Jay Michael Johnson, Alex Adam Boyd, and Nicholas Gene Boyd. He was also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private cremation burial will be held at the Malta Bend Cemetery, in Malta Bend, Missouri.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” held at 12:00 noon in Marshall, Missouri. Any donations, flowers, or cards to the family may be sent to 704 S. Apache, Marshall, Missouri, 65340.
