Wednesdays at Fenceline were some of the first “normal” activities we were allowed to resume. You can still see her smile even through a mask. Love you, Kendra. I always learned something new from you every time we hung out.

I am so sorry for the loss of Kendra's beautiful spirit. Our world needs more people like Kendra. I'm praying that Tyler and the boys and Kendra's family will find peace and rely on their memories to keep Kendra with them.

Kendra and Family on "gaper" day

Dear Tyler and Family

We  only met briefly at the farm and at the Durango Farm Market, thru Jane and Weston, and have only heard about the wonderful times they have shared with you and Kendra and your boys.  We can’t comprehend your sorrow, we just pray for your strength and healing.

I met Kendra through Lee and John in Itasca Illinois. She was so positive, funny and wonderful young woman. She loved to take care of Lee's daughter Elizabeth who had Spina Bifida syndrome and only Kendra was making her  todo impossible things.  She enjoyed when Elizabeth did any, even small improvement.  I have so many memories from her teenage years.  My heart goes to John and Mari and entire Kendra's family. She will be deeply missed.

Kendra and August stopped through STL. It was so special to get to introduce our firstborns to one another! It was also the last time I got one of those amazing Kendra hugs.
Kendra was always a fun and enthusiastic girl scout and brought with her so much information on nature and animal care.

2009, Alaska, USA
We randomly met Kendra at a ropes course in Alaska only to live 15 minutes away 8 years later.

Kendra was a person you always wanted to be around more. She left me feeling joyful and at ease and grateful for her friendship. She had a saintly level of generosity and goodness about her that was contagious. She made me want to be a more thoughtful person. Even through the tremendous heartbreak that is her passing, her affect on her friends and family is undeniable. She will be so greatly missed.

Hoyt's, Mackenbach's, Tyler and the boys, please know you are in our prayers daily and we would do anything you asked in support during this time of grieving.

To the entire Mackenbach family, we are deeply saddened at the passing of Kendra. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this extremely difficult time. Back in the day, when I was employed by Kendra's dad, Dr. John, I remember Kendra, as a vibrant little girl, and then bossoming into an intelligent, talented and lovely young lady. May her memory be eternal.
