Dear Tyler and family,

We are so, so sorry for your deep loss. You already know, but Kendra was such a light to us all! So much energy, so much joy and gratitude, with still so much on her plate, and always more to give! I/we truly cherished knowing her, seeing her around and living in her element. I/we all want to be more like her! We cannot understand what it is like to loose a partner/best friend/mama like her, but we will be cheering you all on!!

From our hearts to you all--

Ben, Erin, and Vesper Faehling-Locker

Kendra and I met in college, circa 2001. The fellow Saluki, roller-blading around campus, could not have gone unnoticed. Luckily for me, Kendra lived in Thompson Point, in the dormitory next to mine. After many hikes, potlucks, and casual conversations about life, I new that she was one of a kind. She always showed up with a smile on her face, spreading love & kindness everywhere she went. She was always ready to lend a friend a helping hand and I was even lucky enough to room with her at Springer St. for a few months because of her generosity. I was so grateful for our friendship...even our dogs, Daisy and Kaya were the best of friends. After college, we moved miles apart, and our lives and time moved along with it. But even after 22 years, Kendra was always a constant in my life. We accomplished goals; we shared laughs & sorrows; we got married; we had children. We still made time to see each other now & again and made time to call each other a few times a month. And every time we spoke, it was like a beat never skipped. Like so many others, I will be lost without her...without her smile, her laugh, her advice & guidance, and her genuine love of life.

Rest in peace my dear friend, Kendra Jean. I hate that I missed your call last Thursday, but I will always find comfort in saying "I love you" after every conversation. May Tyler, the boys, and your family find comfort in how many lives you touched and the vibrant soul that you are. And know that you made the best damn ice cream I've ever had! Love you forever ❤️

Kendra was such a light. She filled whatever space she occupied with her warmth and was such a loving and gumption-filled mother. So much love to Tyler and the boys - we are heartbroken.

Tyler, our hearts break for you and your boys.  You are such a kindhearted person.  Market was not the same without you.  Sending love to you and your family.

2016, Arches N.P.
Kendra was so patient and reassuring as the tentmate of a four month old, sharing my excitement to take my Norah on her first camping trip (with a couple of other amazing mamas). She was the first to visit after Norah was born, and brought us food every few days after. As others have mentioned, her generosity was remarkable, not only with food and her many other arts, but with her time. I have always been amazed at how she could do it all, and always with a smile.
