Keith Irvin Young Jr. was born on November 28, 1962 to Keith and Margaret Young in Columbus, Ohio. Soon afterward his family moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where Keith spent his earliest years. Following the death of his father, Keith Irvin Young Sr., Keith moved with his mother and stepfather to Victor Iowa. After completing high school, Keith joined the U.S. Army.
